Over the years, Angel's weight gradually snuck up on him from his sedentary lifestyle, poor eating habits, and lack of exercise. As husband and father of three, Angel's priorities were not on his physical fitness. Similar to many people in his situation, Angel was disappointed with his appearance and concerned about his health but was reluctant to change his lifestyle.
In July 2007, at the age of 37, Angel experienced a startling medical scare stemming from being overweight and inactive for many years. His doctor gave him an ultimatum, Angel had to take medication for the rest of his life or he could lose some weight to improve his condition.
Worried about the medication's long-term effects, Angel decided to take the necessary steps towards losing weight and getting in shape. He had a stake in achieving his fitness goals not only for himself but also for his family that loved him.
At the outset, it was a difficult uphill battle. With so many weight loss programs, fitness training suggestions, and fad diets on the market, it was a struggle to learn where to start, what to do, and how to do it.
After careful consideration and some hesitancy, Angel decided to join a gym and hire a personal trainer. Initially, he thought finding a trainer at the gym would be easy and soon he would be on the road to six pack abs.
Unfortunately, Angel was wrong. He faced unexpected challenges finding a trainer to help him with his fitness goals.
